Good bye to Turkey

Looking back at my pictures and memories of Turkey, I want to thank everyone who made the journey so wonderful. Thank you to Bryan DeLeo who first said the week in Istanbul with Road Scholar was his favorite. Then, thanks to Kazim Uzunoglu, who thoughtfully organized all our time touring on our own. Thanks to Marty Kinsley my partner in energetic, enthusiastic adventure.

Thanks to all the people we encountered, Turks and fellow travelers; for the amazing history remaining; the turquoise waters; Orhan Pamuk; the complex, rich culture we loved. And to everyone who made my trip possible, I am grateful. Helen

Our Lighthouse in the Mountains

The drive from our gulet included a stay at Dalyan and a great little museum in Fethiye.
An adventurous drive in our Fiat to our lighthouse accommodations in the mountains.
